Job description

Accounts Payable Functions:

Full cycle of accounts payable from receiving the vendor invoice, matching with purchase order and receiving memo, coding, entering, getting necessary approvals & issuing cheques.
Reconciling outstanding A/P balances with vendors’ statements of account.
Providing timely reply to internal and external inquiries.
Administering & maintaining petty cash fund and preparing replenishment summary form.
Setting up online bank transfers for international Vendors,
Reviewing & processing employees’ expense reports.
Performing month end closing for A/P.
Working closely with management to strengthen existing internal controls and creating new controls, as required.
Perform banking reconciliation

Payroll Functions

Preparing time card labels every month.
Processing monthly payroll: data entry of time work, over time, sick time, vacation time, shifts premiums, etc.
Ensuring payroll information is posted in to accounting software properly
Preparing monthly payroll reports to management
Filing personnel transactions: new hire, terminations, lay off etc.
Answering questions raised by employees related to pay.
Ensuring timely payments to benefit & payroll service providers.

Qualifications:

Chinese Speaker is preferred.
Post-secondary degree in Accounting
At least one year experience in payroll & bookkeeping
Possess strong problem solving and organizational skills
Good communications skills, both oral & written
Excellent computer skills and accounting software i.e Quickbooks
Strong sense of urgency and tight deadline

Expected start date: 2021-12-01
